Chorizo and Beef Southwest Burger

27 Feb

I have never cooked with Chorizo and was really interested what it tasted like. If you like spicy (like we obviously do!) you should try mixing some Chorizo into your burger patties.

You wont regret it!

For the Patties:

1 1/2 lbs of lean ground beef
4 oz chorizo (uncooked)
1/4 cup of chopped cilantro
1/2 cup of panko bread crumbs
1 tsp cumin

Instructions:

In a large bowl add together all the above ingredients. Mix them together well, i used my hands… i had to!! Form patties into a ball and then press your thumb into the middle of each patty.

Get the grill nice and hot and cook the patties on both sides until they’re done. Try not to squish the patties too much, but make sure theyre fully cooked.

Build up your burger!

1 large avocado, sliced
arugula
sliced tomato
sliced onion
4 oz goat cheese, crumbled on each burger
Chipotle Mayo
Fresh Buns! (i put them on the grill upside down for a little to get them toasty)

We love this, and its really delicious! ENJOY!!! SO YUMMY!

Whiskey BBQ Sliders with Jalapenos

15 Feb

Link To Recipe

mmmmmm…..mmmmmmmm…. omg this recipe is SO good. If you love spicy food, messy burgers, and so much flavor – you must try this dish. It was really easy and really fun actually. Dave even helped me make them!

Ingredients:

Ground Beef
4 Tbsp Butter
Salt
Pepper
1 Onion, diced
1/2 cup of Whiskey
1 cup of BBQ sauce (I used sweet baby rays)
Jarred Jalapeno Slices (to your liking)
Slider buns or small rolls

Instructions:

Form patties with the raw meat, quite small (see pics). Sprinkle salt and plenty of pepper on both sides. Melt the butter in a grill pan over medium high heat and then cook the patties until they’re almost fully cooked. Remove the patties onto a plate temporarily. Throw in the diced onions and stir letting them soften for about 3-5 minutes. Pour in the whiskey slowly and stir. Let the whiskey reduce by half (see pics) and then stir in the jalapenos and BBQ sauce. Reduce the heat to low and put the patties into the mixture. Let the sauce simmer, be sure to flip the patties over to get them sauced on both sides.

I buttered up the rolls and put them in the oven for a little. Put the patties on the rolls and enjoy the messy deliciousness. YUM! so full of flavor

shhhh…. we added cheese! but it fell off. haha
